Maybe this was one of the more strange, at the same time more unique collars we have seen in the past 4 years. Tradition Italian high-end luxury house and a tradition Major League baseball club from New York have one thing in common they are both of the most recognized brands in the world. Everyone knows Gucci and everyone knows the NY Yankees. Doesn’t matter where you go there will be knock-offs, of both these brands. So maybe this collar is not that unusual after all.

With its iconic American baseball team in tow, the worlds-famous fashion label Gucci teamed up with Major League Baseball (MLB) team the New York Yankees to create a newly minted look for their Spring-Summer 2016 season. Showcasing its sporty roots, the biannual runway show was fitted with baseball jerseys, sports caps and sneakers which boasted the black and gold colors of the Yankees. The street-style seriege suit marked with New York Yankees embroidery on the chest, Golden Gate Bridge adorned as a zipper puller and printed slogan/logo "Fashionable," paying homage to the modest metropolis's effervescent style come courtesy of designers like Alexandre Mattiussi and Alessandra Rich.
